Out of Hours Service

If you need urgent medical attention when the surgery is closed please call 01244 385300 to be connected to the Out Of Hours Service.

Calling the surgery direct on 08444 773304 when we are closed will also connect you to the Out Of Hours GP service.

Please restrict these calls to genuinely urgent problems.

Welcome to the Heath Lane Medical Centre Website

Through this website we hope to improve our services to all our patients and enable them to find out the information required at the click of a mouse.  You can order repeat prescriptions online, register as a new patient, cancel existing appointments, change your name and address and much more.

Heath Lane Medical Centre was opened in 1995 and there is extensive car parking with easy access for the disabled. There are five consulting rooms, two practice nurse rooms, a treatment room and a minor surgery room as well as rooms for the Counsellor and Phlebotomist. Baby changing facilities and a disabled person’s toilet are sited off the waiting area.  For our patient's convenience we have an independently run pharmacy on site.

New Improved Access

The surgery is now open from 8am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday.  You can book a routine doctor appointment up to 2 weeks ahead and a nurse appointment up to 3 months ahead.

Also Western Cheshire PCT have set up an evening and weekend pre-bookable GP surgery at The Countess of Chester Healthpark in the 1829 building (signposted from the entrance of the Hospial).  You can book a routine appointment with a doctor or nurse up to 2 weeks in advance.  The clinics run between 6.30pm and 8pm on weekdays and 10am - 12pm on a Saturday.  This service should be useful for patients who work and find it difficult to attend the surgery during the day.   Leaflets about the service are available in the surgery. Telephone 01244 385422 to make an appointment.

Minor Injuries

Patients with minor injuries such as cuts, sprains, strains, bites, stings, minor accidents etc should attend the Accident and Emergency Urgent Care Centre at the Countess of Chester hospital and not their GP surgery.
